Amazingness ALL around.

This past week has been incredible.
I seriously am having the most wonderful time of my life and have loved every second of this trip.
We have been SO busy. I mean, little sleep and long busy days trying to fit in as much as we can see but it has been so worth it. These boys are the BEST people to travel with and make everything so much fun. I am constantly laughing and having the best time. Besides that we have met so many amazing people. Makes me so happy. I NEVER want this trip to end! I don't want to spoil anything but here are a few pictures :) Can't wait to tell you all about it!!

Random bits.

My blog has been somewhat neglected the past week.
Mostly because I have been crazy busy with finals, papers, tests.. you know..College stuff.
... but partly because I could not think of anything to write.
So her is a bit of randomness going through my mind:

I can't believe I am almost done with my freshmen year. I know I say this all the time but time has FLOWN. I can't decide if I am happy or sad! Well.. of course I am happy because being sad won't get me anywhere! But lets just say I enjoyed my year here in Maine.

I am really sick right now. You are all probably sick of hearing me talk about school!  But this past week I  stressed myself out SO bad. I probably spent more time telling people I didn't want to write my history paper then actually writing it! THUS.. I stressed out and got super sick. So currently I am sitting in bed with a half empty box of tissues by my side. Basically the state I have been in all day. Minus the test I took.

I am SUPER blessed. Everyday I am just in SHOCK about all the wonderful things I have in my life. It is quite incredible. I love those moments when you just sit and get giddy over all your blessing. I surly have many to be thankful for.

I am going to do my last load of laundry here tomorrow. Super pumped.

The boys are currently in Missouri right now. They drove 14 hours today and are driving 15 tomorrow. They are suppose to get here Friday night. I can't believe this is actually happening. I still feel like it is not real! We have LOTS of fun things planed. :) I am sure thats all the next few posts will be about. So be ready for lots of stories and pictures.

Yesterday was my last day at work. All the kids made me cards. It was really cute! I am going to miss those kiddo's. Good thing I have the same job next year! :) Cross your figures they learn to not scream so loud anymore. HA.

I NEED to start running again. I have been really bad about exercise. So all my arizona friends.. be ready to wake up super early and beat the 110 degree heat with me! Or.. we can ZUMBA.

I have a problem at laughing at myself! I don't know why i think I am so hilarious when no one else does...  but I do. I feel like if I were a caveman I would do just fine with entertaining myself because I literally just lay in bed and laugh! Kinda embarrassing but last week I went to the improv show and so now I have been playing all the improv games with myself. My favorite is called "Rap it" and you are just doing something then randomly you start rapping about it! HAHA. You should hear me in the the shower. I am a BEAST haha. Fun huh?

Well tooties! Those are all my thoughts for right now at 1:18 in the morning!
Off to get some shut eye and nip this cold i have in the bud.
{is it bud or butt? I don't know.. but you know what i mean} :)

Goal this week.

"Life is perfect for none of us. Rather than being judgmental and critical of each other, may we have the pure love of christ for our fellow travelers in their journey through life."

Lose the Shoes.

This past week was super super fun. I was always doing something which I LOVE, cause being busy ROCKS. So. I shall tell you about it.
Friday afternoon. Melissa, Anna and I went to the little "Go Green" event. We tie dyed shirts and had gelato. It was not anything super exciting but there was a band outside playing and it was a perfect day and just fun seeing everyone out. (I don't know how I am going to adjust from being in the 50 degree weather to going back to 100 degree days. Thats a different story though)....
Friday night a few girls and I decided we wanted to take the bus to the mall. (its about an hour away)
We went to get bus tickets and found out in only goes to the mall on Saturdays. No bueno.
However we ran into my friend Clare and she said she was going to a movie so we decided to join her. But since it was not till 10pm we decided to go Bridge Jumping first.

We jumped on some bikes and headed off.
Really quick can I just say that the bike I borrowed gear's were broken. So they were stuck in the lowest gear so I had to peddle like a billion times to move one inch. It was quite hilarious. I was moving my legs so fast you couldn't even see them! :)

When we finally got to the bridge we had no way to see how deep the water was. Besides that the current was INSANE. It was moving and about 150 yards down is a huge dam. So we decided not to jump but go explore other areas.

We found this cute little beach area and there was a tiny little island in the middle of the river. So we ended up jumping in the freezing water and letting the current push us around the island then we had to quickly jump out before it met back up with the river again. I don't know how smart it was but it was really fun!

That night since we did not get to go to the mall Anna and I decided we wanted to go out to diner before the movie. We went to this cute little place and it was nice just hanging out and talking.

After our delicious meal we jumped in a taxi and went to the movies where we met Clare and Divya.
The movie was super funny. We all liked it very mucho.

Now. We shall move onto Saturday.
After brunch and all there was a "Lose the Shoes" 3 on 3 soccer Tournament raising awareness of HIV. I was on a team with Kathryn, her boyfriend Zach who is a very good soccer player and two other boys who could play soccer. (I know there was 5 of us but you are allowed to have two subs) So the plan was for the boys to play the whole time and then. BAM we are the winners out of 28 teams.
Well... the plan did not go as we wanted.
There was a rule that co-ed teams have to have a girl playing at all time. Kathryn and I are both not soccer players. We are really bad. hA. So. i ended up playing for the entire time in all three games. (Kath played for 2 minutes in the first game but then a worm crawled on her foot and she said she was too shook up to play) HA. We ended up losing 2 games and winning one. I felt kinda bad because the boys really wanted to win and my "no foot coordination" brought us down.
However we all had a great time! YEAH.

This is Anna and I after. Our team wore gray because we were the "Otters" and Anna's team all wore black and white polos. I forgot their team name though :)

Sorry if you are getting bored from reading this! HA. I know its not that interesting but ya know!

So Saturday night there was a "Spring Gala"
I decided I did not want to go but all my friend were going so you know what that means right?? I got to be the "mom" and take pictures and do hair. I LOVED IT. First I did Anna's Hair. It took me and hour and a half but she looked so pretty! Then I did my other roommates hair. It was so fun seeing everyone all dressed up. I really did feel like a mom as i took pictures and was like "HAVE FUN. BE SAFE" :)

While they were all gone though I got TONS of stuff done. Yay.
Welp. That was my weekend. I can not believe that next weekend is my last one here in Maine!
I am leaving in 13 days! CRAZY.

Rise and Shine.

Since I have been back from Costa Rica I have been in LOVE with getting up early.
It is such a nice feeling waking up and having all this stuff done before most people are awake.
I just love it.
So.. my roommate Anna and I, plus 4 other friends have been going swimming every morning at 7am.
Its adorable because it is us 6 and then tons of old people. I am talking OLD. Like one man is 94 and is a faster swimmer than me! hA. but they are adorable. I have made friends with a few of them. Oh yeah.

Anywho I was taking to the life guard last week and they were telling me all about this 2 day lifeguarding program that you can become nationally certified. So i called about it on Monday and am going to do it! YEAH. I am going to be a lifeguard! Woo... If I pass the test at least! hA.
So I am going to apply to the Seville Country Club Pool! :)
I really really hope I get it. But.. I already applied to tons of other places so I will just be happy for whatever works out! YEAH.
Go summer Jobs and Early Mornings!!

the little things.

You know when someone does something for and you are not expecting it at all?
Those are the things that totally make my day.
Whether is a note or a phone call! The little things are what make me so happy.
I mean they MAKE my day.
I can't even tell you how giddy I get even over a stinkin text that says "Have a good day" even when they are from my best friend who I talk to all the time. I love it.
Anywho this morning my dad left Maine, headed back to good ole AZ.
About an hour after he left I looked under a blanket and he left me all these "surprises"
Basically all I have been talking about for the past 5 months is my Coast to Coast Road Trip.
So my dad bought me a backpack to use for the trip, a US roads map, playing cards, a book called "Life is  a verb" all about living life to the fullest and an envelope with $100 that said "I am so excited for your upcoming adventure" I am not saying those are a little thing but the idea that he put the effort into doing that made me the most happy more than anything! I am very very thankful!

It just got me thinking about all the little things in life that make you happy! From a simple smile to your favorite song coming on the radio to beautiful weather or getting a new tooth brush (thats my favorite thing) hA. There are so many little things that can bring joy and when you look for them they are ALL AROUND YOU!
I am very thankful for those tiny things is life that make it incredible! YEAH.
