A day of inspiration.

You know those days when you are just inspired in every way?
Well today was one of those days!
I am just sitting on my bed and can't help but smile about life.

To Blessed to be Stressed:
The other day I was watching Minute to Win it and the girl on the show was like "I am to blessed to to stressed" I thought it was such a cute saying and realized how true it is. I know I get stressed over tests sometimes, or get all crazy if my room is a little messy, its a part of life. Yet my life is SO blessed and I know that if I am doing this things I am suppose to and working hard, everything will work out! I get giddy just thinking about that idea. I know it is a simple one but having the though in my mind that if I do all I possibly can, try my best and have my priorities correct that Heavenly father will take care of the rest! Incredible how that works huh!?

Goals:
So I have always been someone to set goals. This whole semester I have had my goals posted up on my door but just today I realized I have not been doing them to the fullest. I am simply "sliding by" in order to cross it off at the end of the day. So today I made a brand new goal chart with specific goals, and most importantly I made a commitment to myself to do them to the best of my ability! I think its amazing how we have the opportunity to better ourselves and also be able to improve. To take our struggles and work on them in order to make them better.  I know at times it can get hard, when you don't see an improvement. I just need to take ONE STEP AT A TIME and keep my goals in sight.

Running:
So I signed up for a 1/2 Marathon on April 2nd. Since I am not doing spring track this season since I am so busy with my job and school I figure I need something to work towards. This past month I have just been running but it is so hard for me to run with no goal. So I decided to sign up for a 1/2 marathon! I REALLY REALLY want to do a full one I just can not commit to train yet. But don't you worry I am doing one this summer. Also... to help motivate me my mother and I are having a competition on who can run the most miles in March. Because even though I have to train a little for a 1/2 marathon, I honestly could wing it and be totally fine. So this way I still have to run high amounts of mileage. We have yet to decide on the prize for the winner.. but I am going to make sure its a good one because I am GOING TO WIN! :) ha.

KIDS!
I was so worried coming up to college that I would not get to see kids. Well its the total opposite! I get to be with them ALL the time and I love it. First off I am going an internship at a daycare center and get to simply play with 2 year olds. Its so fun!! Then I also work at an elementary school in a resource room. Its so neat to be able to help kids learn that have a hard time with it. I tutor them in math and english! Though at times it can get frustrating they have such a light about them. As for fridays I mentor a junior high student. There is a program where they put college students with kids who are going through hard times, so all we do is talk. We have an hour together and we just sit and talk about life. Its sad to hear some things she tells me, but to see the smile on her face when she finally laughs is so worth it. Then... ha. I get to hang out with my host family! I LOVE them! They are the most adorable girls ever! I just want to squeeze them! Being around all these kids makes me so excited to be a mom! I just love them all so much!

Children are precious! I love them!

My host family!

On a quick side note:
So two of my really good friends are suppose to get their mission calls this week and I am insanely excited to see where they will be spending two years of their life. They will be wonderful missionaries.

Anywho I am very thankful for all my many blessings! Life is absolutely incredible!

Everybody DANCE now!

You know when a song turns on and you can't help but want to get up and dance like no other! Well I feel like that ALL the time lately! Yesterday my roommate walks in and all the blinds are closed and she asked "Did you have another dance party by yourself?" hA.
YEP!
You know in the "You Belong with Me" Music video... yeah... that dancing scene is the story of my life!

Kinda embarrassing but its just SO fun! I love it!

A few nights ago we were sitting at dinner and a song came on and I could not hold it in for the LIFE of me! So I told my friend that I HAD to dance NOW... so we ran to the bathroom and had a quick one minute dance session until a girl walked in! hA!
Quite fun!

I absolutely LOVE good music that you can go crazy too!
Best thing in the world!

You've got MAIL.

Oh how I LOVE getting mail.
Seriously everyday when I walk to my cute little box I am just filled with hope and wonder if I will get anything.

Then I love the joy when you get something and the excitement that fills you of what is inside the wondrous little box or envelope.

This is a really bad picture but the open box is mine :]
Box 848.. my lucky number.

This week I got LOTS of mail!!! YAY.

Two letters from two dear friends. Made me smile so big.
Two packages from my parents.
Valentines Candy from my roommates mother.
A beautiful quilt my Aunt made for me.
A wedding invitation
A card from my father! Ha.

Oh father.. the cards he sends are HILARIOUS. They are just a store bought card with simply... " HAVE FUN. LOVE DAD" on the inside! Crack me up.

But besides getting Mail I LOOOOOVE writing letters. Its just So fun. Its so relaxing and pure happiness! I sent out 5 letters yesterday.. cause it is also a good way to procrastinate! :)

Though facebook and all that stuff is fun...
there is just something about letters that is 10 billion times more wonderful!
So basically... I love mail. Whoever invented the mail system SOOOOO long ago it my HERO.

What the future holds...

I often wonder what my life will consist of in 10 years, 20 years, 30 and so forth.
I have all these dreams of doing all these amazing things.
It may be a generalization but I would say that most
EVERYONE wants to make a difference in the world.

In my mind I can just see myself being crazy busy, running here and there, doing all this non-profit work and service ALL the time.
Then I think of all the WORK that goes into making a change.
It does simply not just come because you want it to come. Its hard work.
We live in such a fast moving society that people forget you can't have things simply because you want them.

For instance the TOM shoes business has taken off. The idea that when you buy a pair of shoes another goes to someone without them. To us in America it is simple. Pull out the credit card and we are helping others. Yet all those people that started out the business and to do HOURS of hard work to make this happen, its probably not easy for them. I bet in the beginning they put so much time into it and often though it would never work. We have to push through that idea, for when the going gets tough and the tough gets going.

It worries me that one day that  when I have my six little kids I want that I will become so wrapped up in my own life and that I will forget about others.
YES it is extremely important to put your family first and they always will be, but if I just do everything for them, how is that helping the rest of society?
Life gets crazy when you have kids. Sports, school, clubs, classes. Times are busy. But throughout all those times I want to make sure that I do things for others too.

There are SO many amazing organizations out there to help people. However they didn't just pop up on their own. It takes a person to have hard work and determination to do it. Or the world will never change. I am not trying to CHANGE the world in every way, I don't want to be superman. But do little things to help. Make it better then it is. At this point it sounds so easy to be able to help out and do all these awesome things.
Yet it is hard work.
And at times when I do hard things I certainly want to give up.
You have to push through those times though when things are not working. Take the bumps in the roads and use them to help you for your future. As I am here in college I think I am constantly so busy, but all the things are  always things for myself. My life revolves to much around me.
I don't want that.

This probably makes no since at all. It does in my mind.
So sorry if you don't understand it.
BUT......
Basically I just don't want to just sit back and do the same thing day after day.
Not improving at all, myself or others just rather just getting by.
Its hard work, but I want to do it.

I want to make a difference.

I could not be more excited!
Only 36 more days!

He is going to go FAR in life !

I can NOT believe it is already February!
Time is flying by right before my eyes!!

On the 23rd of the Month this man is going to Africa for two years!

Landon John Palmer is honestly one of the most amazing guys in the entire world.
Seriously EVERY SINGLE time I am with him I have the best time.
From just sitting in his room listening to him peacefully play the guitar to running from him full sprint in the dark at my grandmas.... scared for my life.

Landon just makes me happy in every way.
I honestly can not say enough good stuff about this boy.
EVERYONE he meets loves him... especially my family. Grams and all!

He is the most driven person I have ever met.
When he knows what he wants he goes for it. NOTHING can stop him.
He is such a hard worker. He puts 100% effort into all he does.
Landon is going to be such an awesome missionary. Plus Africa is the PERFECT place for him! If anyone could do it.. its him.
Then when he returns he is going to be a Navy Seal!
I know without a doubt he will accomplish this goal and be the best one out there!
Plus he is going to be the best husband and father! He is just all around incredible!

Some fun times with LANDON!
-California! Everything about that trip was incredible. We went to the beach, hung out catching snakes, frogs, baby mice. Gross. We heard the most amazing navy seal Marcus speak! Basically it was amazing.
- Biology! Landon was the best lab partner EVER! Made class so much fun.
-Flower Girl escort! Honestly he made this night SO fun for me and I totally owe it all to him. I got so many compliments on "You have the most fun escort ever. What an awesome guy". At the end of the ball there was a dance and Landon seriously knows how to dance. I didn't do anything he flung me around and oh it was just so fun!
-Hanging out at his house! What a fun family the Palmers are! I just love them. I always had such a great time over there. Baking brownies, watching funny youtube videos, or just hanging out relaxing.
-Shooting! Landon is a gun pro! He took me out shooting and it was great fun. He has an awesome aim and will surly have the best shot out of all the navy seals!
-Driving! I love being in the car with Landon. I love when he drives.. weird huh? But seriously we could just drive all day and I would be perfectly content! Except whenever i drive he randomly screams and it scares me to death!! hA.
- Talking in accents! He can seriously do the best accents and they are so hilarious! I try to talk back in them .... but ehhh not so successful!
-He is the BEST gym buddy ever! I LOVE going to the gym with him. So fun. He is so dedicated to keeping in shape and pushes me so hard!
-"LANDON STOP IT" ha. I seriously bet I  have said that over a billion times! This boy is CRAZY! He is insane actually! He loves to bite people, flip them around, the whole works. He is super strong! But i LOVE it! I love having "Landon scars" I currently have 3! HA.
-Just talking! Though he can and usually is insanely crazy and fun! He is one of the best people to just conversations with. He is defiantly not one to judge and such a good listener!
-Going to see Tangled on Christmas and watch him fall in love with a cartoon!
This list could go on FOREVER! There are soo many more! Not even including all those group hang outs! So many memories with the guy!

I feel EXTREMELY blessed to have Landon as one of my closest friends! He is amazing!

Landon! Thanks for being the most incredible friend and teaching me how to enjoy life! You are going to be the most amazing missionary, navy seal, husband and father!
You my friend are going far it life. I know it!
Best of luck! Youre truly the best!
